1983年　富士通株式会社入社。半導体部門にて海外の顧客・提携先とのビジネス開拓を担当。

1986年から1991年まで米国法人にBusiness Development Managerとして駐在。
1988年　Fujitsu Microelectronics社の最優秀営業支援賞を受賞。企業買収、海外メモリー開発拠点の設立、世界最大の化合物半導体工場を設立する為のビジネス開発など、富士通半導体部門として初めての試みに数多く関わる。米国西部最大手コンピューターメーカーと戦略提携を成立したことで1995年社長賞受賞。
1996年　電子デバイス国際統括営業部 新規ビジネス開発課長に就任。

1997年　米国シリコンバレーのベンチャーキャピタルTechfarm社にパートナーとして入社。グローバルに競争力のあるハイテクベンチャーの創業・経営支援・投資に従事。ベンチャーファンド1号から３号の調達・運用に大きく貢献。ハンズオンで上場・成功買収まで支援したベンチャーは日本支社の役員を務めたCobalt Networks社（1999年NASDAQ上場）の他に3Dfx Interactive社（1997年上場）、Resonate社（2000年上場）、Netmind社（2000年 Puma Technologies社が買収）、HotRail社（2000年Conexant社が買収）。

2002年　日本発で世界競争力のあるハイテクベンチャーの創業・経営支援に注力するためブレークスルーパートナーズ株式会社を共同創業。ニューコアテクノロジー社（2007年MediaTek社が買収）、Inovys社(2007年Verigy社が買収)、ファイベスト社は創業時から取締役を務め会社立ち上げに大きく貢献した。その他、世界競争力のあるベンチャー企業数社の創設、経営、事業開発に深く関わる。

1982年　米国Cornell大学物理学学位課程、および、工学部材料工学学位課程修了。
1983年　同大学の奨学生として工学修士課程修了。

Koji Morihiro is Co-founder and a Managing Director of Breakthrough Partners where he plays an extremely hands-on role in founding and growing globally competitive start-up businesses primarily in Japan and serves on the board of several companies. Prior to starting Breakthrough Partners in 2002, Koji was a partner at Techfarm in Silicon Valley where he supported all aspects of building the start-up business from ideas to industry leading public company. He was also a key fundraiser for the investment fund and the start-ups he supported. Koji started his career with Fujitsu Limited in Japan where he led many international business initiatives for the semiconductor group.

Koji holds a BA in Physics, BS and Masters in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University.
